Lavender Vinaigrette


Recently, we have started making and selling lavender-infused vinegar with our cottage food license. Many people have tried and and many have asked for recipes. Here is one of our favorite recipes for a vinaigrette for the refreshing summer salad:


Ingredients:

6 Tbs olive oil

2 Tbs lavender-infused vinegar

1 garlic clove, finely minced

1 tsp Dijon or grain mustard

1 Tbs honey


Finely mince the garlic clove and combine all other ingredients in a bowl. Whisk until emulsified. Add salt and pepper to taste.


Use over any fresh greens, like spinach or arugula you may have in your garden or on hand. This vinaigrette goes particularly well with any salad that has fruit in it, like watermelon, peaches, or berries. Sprinkle dried lavender buds on salad for a final touch.
