Welcome to Sierra Shadows!

You’ve received a gift of culinary lavender—now let’s put it to delicious use...

But first,

Did you know?...

Lavender isn’t just beautiful—it’s a culinary secret that’s been used for centuries to infuse dishes with subtle floral flavor.
Here are a few fun facts about your lavender buds:

Edible Elegance: Culinary lavender is a special variety, carefully dried to preserve its fragrance and flavor.

Provençal Heritage: Lavender is a staple in French cuisine; however, despite what you may have heard or read, it is not typically found in the famous Herbes de Provence blend of seasonings. Only recently has it found its way into this traditional blend of thyme, oregano, savory and rosemary here in the United States.

A Little Goes a Long Way: Just a pinch can transform baked goods, teas, syrups, or even savory dishes.
